Why It's Happening
Three signs your yard's grade needs fixing
01 — LOW SPOTS
Dips that turn to mud after rain
A yard with no consistent slope collects water in low points instead of moving it along — the fix is correcting the shape of the ground, not just the soil.
02 — POOR SLOPE
Water doesn't move away from the house
If the ground near your foundation is flat or sloped the wrong way, regrading re-establishes the fall that carries water where it should go.
03 — UNEVEN GROUND
Bumps and dips make the yard hard to use
Uneven ground makes mowing, play, and new sod or seed harder to establish. Finish grading levels it out for good.
